Inventory Control and Just-in-time Ordering
The Retail Managed Inventory Program (RMIP) enhances the quality, precision, and timeliness of sell-through information to enable retailers and vendors to make better inventory and supply decisions. Consequently, for both retailers and vendors, the RMIP improves cash flow, helps create an operating leverage, increases profitability, maximizes space allocations, and helps reduce persistent inventory management problems such as "out of stock" occurrences for particular goods, brands, and product types. Electronic Parts Authentication and Tracking Systems (E/PATS)
To deter product fraud and counterfeiting, inFusion eForms, advanced bar coding (including BTI’s two-part GS1 Databar technologies), and custom database applications can be integrated to track and verify delivery of authentic products. As part of the solution, complementary portions of two-part bar codes are applied to shipped items and shipping documents that when scanned together verify authenticity of the delivered item.

Coupon Transactions via Credit Card Infrastructure
BTI developed the technology and solution for an advanced bar code based solution to process coupons and other discount promotional items through the existing credit card infrastructure.
The system drastically improves the manually intensive coupon processing and redemption processes. It also reduces costs, eliminates manual coupon handling and management, and speeds the redemption to the retailer. [top]
Food Product Traceability
Ever-Read can trace spoiled or tainted food products to the source by generating and applying bar code labels to produce and enabling retailers and consumers to trace fruits, vegetables, and other agricultural products back through the supply chain. This capability enables retailers to quickly identify the source of tainted products that may pose a health risk.
BTI's Intelligent Product Code (IPC) can manufacture and apply temperature sensitive bar codes that change color or provide other alert-oriented information in the event that temperatures exceed minimum or maximum temperature standards during transportation or storage of food products, e.g., fresh or frozen dairy, poultry, meat.
