Real-Face™
-
Real-Face reduces 12,000 bytes of data found on a typical color picture ID card to approximately 50 bytes.
-
Real-Face data of approximately 50 bytes will not slow down the electronic transmission speed of various business applications such as credit card processing.
-
Depending on a data storage medium, Real-Face data can be read by Bar code reader (scanner), credit card reader, smart card reader, etc.
-
Real-Face decoding software is NOT memory intensive. A typical PDA has enough memory to store the Real-Face decoder.
-
Real-Face’s synthetic facial portrait next to an original photo is an effective authentication tool for ID cards.
-
Real-Face images are synthetic, reproduced on the fly. This may be an important factor when distribution of original images is restricted by privacy laws.
-
Real-Face can be used in conjunction with BTI’s Photo-in-Barcode, a patented process which superimposes bar code with Real-Face data on an ID portrait.
Real-Face is a patent pending technology designed to encode and encrypt a person’s facial portrait with a greatly reduced data size. A typical picture on a picture ID needs 12,000 bytes of data. Real-Face is able to compress the same photo in a synthetic form using approximately 50 bytes of data, while preserving a high level of likeness to satisfy the requirement of all current applications.
Real-Face data can be stored in bar codes, magnetic strips, and computer memory chips. It may be utilized for ID cards (including chip based smartcard IDs), driver’s licenses, credit cards, passports, and other security sensitive documents.
