Medipac™

• Convenient and safe individual packets - Foldable and sealable packets are convenient and safe method to store correct medication prior to delivery to the patient.

• Reduced medical errors – Medipac leverages the GS1 Databar, which has a data capacity ranging from 56 characters to 2,361 characters. This storage capacity for medical information in a machine readable format reduces the potential for medical error caused by caregivers.

• Extensibility – Medipac may work in conjunction with another BTI technology, Medibar, which can store patient information on a wristband.

Medipac creates a foldable and sealable individual bar coded packets including human readable information. For example, the packet may be used to contain medication for a patient, in which case, patient caregiver instructions are electronically received, and the foldable and sealable packet is produced containing the medication.

The packet containing the medication is then provided to the patient, dramatically reducing possibility of medication dispensing error.
